Coverage, duplicates and interpretation
- The monthly and calendar-year installation totals reconcile to 126,425. The generic and Battery Storage timeline tables are duplicates and are counted once.
- The archive named capacity contains duplicate average-cost tables, not capacity observations. No new capacity total can be derived from it. The separately sourced DESNZ capacity data remains below, with its earlier coverage.
- The two climbers tables contain identical records. Their period headings are inconsistent; they are preserved verbatim here, without presenting a new growth leaderboard or inferring a corrected period.
- Regional, tenure and timeline totals differ. They are separate exported views and are not added together.
- Coverage depends on MCS recording and the dashboard selection. Unregistered systems and other installations outside that coverage are not captured. The export does not establish the total UK battery population.
- Original percentage-change fields are preserved in the source tables. Incomplete September and 2026 figures must not be compared with complete months or years as like-for-like growth.
- Snapshot exported 25/09/2026. Future imports can replace this snapshot after validation; API updates are not yet active.

National and regional carbon intensity and generation mix come from the NESO Carbon Intensity API. National values use actual intensity when available, otherwise forecast. Regional values are forecasts. Biomass is included in the renewables total; nuclear is shown separately.
Refreshes at most every 15 minutes per region. Each reading shows its source period and retrieval time above. A refresh failure retains the last successful snapshot and labels it delayed. Charging windows require a forecast at least 20% below current carbon intensity.
